Annual Chicago Cares Sponsored Volunteer Event

CDK Global is once again a featured supporter of the Chicago Cares Event, and our own Brother Tony Graham is heading-up  
a team effort for the event. Below is detailed information from Brother Tony Graham:
 

The Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon event that will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018.  I am one of the Team Captains and
I am hoping you can join my team for our annual day of service.

It is a long day, but very rewarding.  We need to get to Daley Plaza in Chicago to check-in between 7:30am – 8:30am. A bus will take us from Daley Plaza to our assigned school and we will spend the day painting classrooms, planting flowers, etc. The bus takes us back to Daley Plaza at 3pm, there will be a post-event celebration from 3:30pm – 5:30pm with food, drink (including beer, so please bring your ID!) and music.

This is not limited to CDK associates: Contractors, significant others, and children are welcome to participate. Note:  children need be at least 12 years old by June 24th and each child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Note: this is a great opportunity for teenagers to fulfill community service hours required for graduation!

CDK will not be providing transportation to and from CDK this year.  Daley Plaza is about a mile from Union Station,
so you may choose to take the Metra instead. CDK will be providing lunch (most likely pizza, but that has not been officially determined yet). You may choose to receive a sandwich from Potbelly instead, which you will see when you register.  CDK
will not be providing t-shirts for the event this year.

How to register for the 2018 Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon:  (Full Instructions are also attached)

  1. Visit event.chicagocares.org  and click “Step 1 Register for Serve-a-thon”.   
    Once directed to the Registration page, select “Register as a Sponsor Volunteer”.
  2. Enter the code “2018SATSPON” in the invitation code box.
  3. Click the “View Details” button
  4. Click “Sign Up” below.


If you have participated in Chicago Cares before (your email is in the system), you will need to Login.  If you don’t
remember your password, just select “Forgot your Password”, to receive an email to allow you to reset your password.   

 

If you have not participated in Chicago Cares before, please Register.

  1. Select “CDK Global” from the drop-down menu for the organization you represent.
  2. Read and sign the volunteer waiver. Click “Next”.
  3. Answer questions regarding Serve-a-thon referral, lunch preference and select your team.   
    My Team is “CDK Global – Tony Graham”.
     
  4. Click “Finish”.  You will receive a confirmation email from Chicago Cares.
